Holiday Cranberry Sauce
Yields: 4 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
12 oz whole cranberries
1 orange
2 Tbsp maple syrup
3 dates, chopped
1 pear, peeled, cored, and chopped
1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cloves
1 cup of water
Instructions:
1. Add cranberries to saucepan.
2. Zest and juice the orange and place over cranberries.
3. Add remaining ingredients.
4. Turn to medium heat until bubbling, then simmer on low until thickened (10 – 15 minutes).
5. Optional: Sprinkle with cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and/or nutmeg.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
